The Enigma Cipher Centre is a unique exhibition which in an involving way shows the history of breaking Enigma’s ciphers and presents ways to keep information secret throughout history. It is a project worth in total about PLN 30 million. The CSE exhibitions were placed exactly in the same place where, before the war, students of the Poznań University: Marian Rejewski, Henryk Zygalski and Jerzy Różycki began work on breaking the Enigma ciphers. The CSE exhibition combines the narration about Polish cryptologists with the present – telling also about the development of the digital world initiated by their work. The Enigma Cipher Centre builds awareness that the history of breaking the Enigma cipher began in Poznan. It uncovers secrets and tells stories that changed the course of history. It shows how knowledge, science, technology and cooperation inspire great discoveries and influence our reality. We experienced the Enigma as a really interesting place to visit, as we learned a lot about the history and code-breaking in general. From our point of view, it is worth visiting this museum the next time you are in Poznan.
