Kurpark – EN

Beautiful lake with green trees in the background.
Students have fun while keeping fit at the outdoor gym.

In the “Kurpark” you can do many nice things. Here you can play tennis, go to a playground, meet with friends, jog, ride a bike, enjoy nature and many other nice things. We like to go to the “Kurpark” because you can just leave the everyday stress behind for a short time and switch off. We as a group have seen many animals there, which were very beautiful, such as ducks. The nature in the park is also very stunning.

The “Kurpark” got its name in the 19th century, because a spa was built there. This was only made possible by the many salt deposits in Oldesloe. Bad Oldesloe became a famous spa, so that even the King of Denmark (Frederick VI) visited it. The bathtub in which he bathed at that time still stands in the park. The spa was replaced by a retirement home in 1951/52.

The student stand together on a narrow bridge and smile.

Park seems to be very lovely and picteresque place. We spent great time with our friends there. It really impressed us that although there were so many people it was still clean, peaceful and quiet. I think it would be great to come back there again.
