Travemünde
On Tuesday, we took the train to Travemünde with the Polish students because we wanted to show the beach to them. We grew up in Northern Germany with the fact that the beach is not far away, and we can go to the beach anytime. That’s why the beach belongs to one of our favorite places, from which we have many beautiful memories. As we arrived there, the fresh air of the sea could be felt in the atmosphere, it was refreshing. The weather was nice, the sun was shining, and luckily the wind was not too strong. We went closer to the beach and looked into the water. It was pretty clear, and the stones below could be seen. We took some pictures and then everyone became hungry. Because it was not the season where many people come to the beach as it was a little cold, there were not many shops open, but we were lucky enough to find a shop where Kebab was sold. We bought food and sat at the beach and ate our food. The view was so calming, but sometimes huge container ships passed by.
“Going to the beach is for us just like a dream because there are no beaches near Poznán. Whenever we go to a beach (a couple times in a year), we must drive there by car for 4 hours because it is far away from us. We liked Travemünde very much, the landscape is beautiful.”
When we asked the Polish students what they think about the beach, they answered very happily that it was amazing and impressive. We also asked them if they regularly go to beaches in Poland, and the answer we got was shocking.
